At each show, we will have a number of portraits displayed, framed for sale. We have three 4-tile portraits. The first is of our younger Great Dane "Smilla." Smilla is a black Great Dane with a white chest and a big smile. A client saw her and called her a diva. The title of this portrait is "Smilla the Diva." Thank you Glenn. She does look ready for her close-up. Smilla the Diva is framed in a beveled gold-leaf frame. The dimensions of the tiles are 14 x 20 and the frame is 23w x 29h. A picture of Smilla the Diva is in our website gallery.
Gracie is our Basset Hound. She loves to play with our Great Danes (yes there are two) and enjoys running under them as they try to avoid stepping on her. this is the second 4-tile portrait of Gracie we have done. She is very photogenic. Doleful eyes and freckles on her nose make her one of the cutest dogs in the world. Well, every bassett, every dog is the cutest in the world when you take the itme to really look in their eyes. This Gracie portrait is also framed in a beveled gold-leaf frame and has the same dimensions as Smilla the Diva - 23x x 29h. She is also in our website gallery "Gracie 2009."
The single tile portraits we will have at the show are Bear, a harlequin Great Dane, Myrtle a Great Dane with Boston markings. The big guys may appear clumsy in tight spaces but once you get them out in an open field where they can really let loose they show an athleticism and grace truly amazing.
